धरतीचा ताजेपणा गेला 
जशी कोमेजून गेली...

उन्हाच्या दाहकतेत 
चाहूल भीषण उन्हाळ्याची, 
कसे बाहेर निघावे 
झळ बसते उन्हाची...

उन्हाच्या दाहकतेत 
कोरडे वाळवंट भासते, 
लाही लाही अंगाची 
त्वचा कशी भाजते...

उन्हाच्या दाहकतेत 
पाण्याची लागते तहान 
कसा करावा बचाव 
विचार करी थोर सान...
